If you already know me, I postponed the solo exhibition at the end of February and the four-person exhibition at the end of March, accepting the government's request and the significance of infection prevention. Since mid-March, I have consulted with various people and have made petitions to the administration and the people involved in the parliament, but even now I am still required to make all efforts for future activities. I also listened to various opinions, such as soliciting donations, activities and harsh voices for amateurs. Please understand that it is difficult to carry out stable activities other than collecting donations unless there is official support, such as unexpected expenditures that have occurred little after the postponement and losses due to postponement again. All donations will be used for individual exhibition related expenses (gallery fee, work production cost, installation cost). Thank you for your consideration.
If the annual donation amount reaches the upper limit, the donation received until the end of the donation will be used as a deposit and will be donated to the research of new type pneumonia virus infection. In addition, if there is an opportunity to award prizes and incentives after the annual maximum amount is reached, we will also make a donation or decline the award on the condition of the donation.

I am a photographer based in Tokyo. We photographed the works in Inokashira Park, updated all the works on our website and SNS, held photo exhibitions and exhibitions as a place of expression, and participated in the competition to get more opportunities for exhibitions.
As a measure to prevent the spread of new types of pneumonia virus infections (COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2) that have hit the world since the end of last year, we writers living in Japan repeatedly from the Japanese government after February 20, 2020. In response to the request for self-restraint, the solo exhibition was postponed on February 28 of the same year and the four-person exhibition was postponed on March 31 of the same year. As a result, the Japanese government issued an emergency declaration on April 8, 2020, the first day of the solo exhibition. Since the beginning of March, with the help of my friends and acquaintances, I myself consulted and petitioned the administrative bodies and several people involved in parliament. As of July 2020, I have been unable to receive public support, mainly because of my profession and lifestyle. We understand the extremely difficult situation of those who receive public art support, and we do not think that the public support itself is sufficient support in light of the current situation. However, I am aware that I myself had no choice but to make various sacrifices, as I had accepted, because I myself accepted self-restraint at the request of the government and society.
Since February 2020, I have changed to a consciousness of using the crowdfunding, including consultations including the pros and cons of postponement and especially consultation with friends and acquaintances who have been taking care of me since March. It is not clear that some people receive support from the government and others do not, even if they cooperate in preventing the spread of infection and choose sacrifice. Of course, we understand that there is a fair and swift response and priority of the administration. We also fully understand that many unprecedented large-scale pandemics have various effects on many people. I also thought about using the existing crowdfunding site, but the requirements are not met for individual activities, not for corporations or organizations, so donation type cannot be used for existing sites. I also learned for the first time that only such a selection of donations is left.
Partly because of the nature and activity of my own work (https://shinikegami.com/work), there is nothing that can be prepared as a consideration other than selling the work. Although it is generally conceivable to sell the exhibition itself as a ticket fee, my principle is that everyone can freely go in and out, and I can watch it freely. As a major factor that caused me to meet, I myself would like to follow the behavior of those who gave me the opportunity and opportunity.
After February 2020 when the virus crisis was imminent and became a threat in Japan, I experienced various things like you, suffered from maintaining motivation, and touched various negative opinions to amateurs while making petition. Nevertheless, I will continue to take photographs and create exhibition spaces so that I can experience the depth of expression and practice and practice it. As I was obsessed with expressing myself in photographs, I would like to fascinate through the work as I continue to touch the depth.
I plan to hold a solo exhibition at "Daikanyama Space K" in September 2020. In February 2021, I will hold a two-person exhibition at "Pictrico Shop & Gallery" in Omotesando. I are also planning a solo exhibition in Omotesando from autumn 2021 to early 2022. For the solo exhibition in September, the gallery fee will be 115,000 yen per week, and the production cost (including test) will be 80,000 yen. For the two-person exhibition in February, the gallery fee will be 77,000 yen for 5 days, the construction cost will be 20,000 yen, and the exhibition production cost will be 100,000 yen. The gallery fee for the solo exhibition scheduled for the beginning of 2021-22022 is 162000-324000 yen (1-2 weeks), the setup cost is 40,000 yen, and the exhibition production cost (including test) is 250000-400000 yen.
Due to this self-restraint request, it is true that there is no direct damage other than holding the inventory of the photo book (sales price total 130,000 yen) planned to be sold. However, due to the loss of two exhibition opportunities due to the request for self-restraint, unexpected expenditure is still incurred for the planned exhibition. I think that there may be a delay in the schedule due to an increase in self-payment due to further postponement or cancellation and an increase in reservations at certain times. In June 2019, the total exhibition cost 650,000 yen including the production cost of ZIEN photo book (zine).

Please donate. The purpose of this exhibition is to set up an exhibition on the same scale as the one-man show in June 2019, and it has already been decided in the next two and a half years (including the two exhibitions that have been postponed). The entire amount will be used for the gallery fee, installation fee, and work production fee.
The Japanese government began to mention the need to issue a second emergency declaration in mid-July 2020 by the government and the minister in charge. I will continue to give top priority to human life, give priority to infection prevention, act, learn, and act responsibly. Also, although I am an amateur at the moment, I respect the ancestors and the history of expression, and regardless of professional amateurs, I will devote myself to my efforts. We would appreciate your support, encouragement, guidance, and donation.
